New Websites By COOK Blog Information Center

This is a new way for Websites By COOK to communicate with our clients and keep you up to date with the rapidly changing Internet and E commerce world. Bookmark this page and check back often. You do that and I will do my best to keep you up to day.
First I am going to warn you about the Internet Explorer browser that you may be using. A year ago IE was used by 80% of the people. It is now down to 55%. Most of the "gurus" feel that it has way to many security holes in it. Microsoft has a hard time keeping up. BOTs are installed in an exstimated 1.5 million PCs world wide and the owners don't even know it. Your computer, if you are using IE, can be infected just by going to the wrong website. Just going there. Not even clicking on anything.
So, what should you do. Switch to FireFox or Chrome or Safari. FireFox is the browser of choice around the world right now. Both for PC and Mac users. Go to www.firefox.com and download it. You can keep your IE on your computer but don't use.
More to come in future blogs.
Regards,
Stan Cook

  1. I agree 100 percent with what Stan says about Firefox. I made the switch several years ago (at Stan's urging) and have never looked back at any version of IE...even now that I've made the change to a MAC, I still use Firefox (rather than Safari, which is a good program—it's just that Firefox is better).

  2. Aloha Stan and mahalo for the info about firefox. It is definitely faster than IE. Take care.

We found your blog on facefook. We just became members of facefook. We're also on twitter, but facefook appears to better. What do you think?
